Energy and material are the two pillars of modern civilization. As the development of econmy, the consume of energy is rapid increasing.Traditional  fossil fuel not only can not offer enough supply, but pollute our environment. China's capital Beijing whose energy mainly rely on importing from Shanxi, Heibei, Neimenggu often suffers shortage of energy these days.In order to optimize the structure of energy so that the shortage of energy would not restrict the development of the city,Beijing government is eager to develop new generation energy. With this backeground,the industry of new generation battery is growjing up.Howerve, there are still key issue need to be researched as prof.Shi Changxu who is the senior academician of CAS put it "The break through of battery materials are the fundation to solve the shortage of enery."
     Beijing key laboratory for advanced battery materials of theory and technology  devote into the research of battery materials.The research interest are lithium battery,solar battery,fuel battery. We have plenty of researcher including 15 professor,6 vice professor,one of them obtain "recuitment progarm of global experts"support and other tow professor obtain the support from National Science Found for Distinguished Young Scholars.The laboratory combine production and research together so that the latest achievement in laboratory can be translated into practise immediately.On the other hand practise may also direct the research.
     The fund of the laboratory is abundant, we have obtain the support from 863 project ,973 project and NSFC.The aggregate of the laboratory's research fund is already over 1,00 million.The achievement of our research have been published in Nano Letters, Advanced Materials, Journal of the American Chemistry Society, Advance Functional Material,Chemistry of material,Chemical Communications, J. Physical chemistry B,Electrochemical Communication.We are confident that we can accelerate the development of Beijing's battery industry.
